Catch with match in Dharamsala

To increase the awareness about the disease, multi-sector participation and encourage greater participation from the private sector, the TB-Free India Summit will bring together celebrities, international experts, MPs in Dharamsala on April 8.
A t-20 cricket match between Bollywood celebrities and MPs at Dharamsala International Cricket Stadium will hold. The International Union Against Tuberculosis and Lung Disease supported by the United States Agency for International Development’s (USAID) Challenge TB project and the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association (HPCA) as part of the Call to Action for a TB-Free India campaign.
A summit will conclude with a cricket match between MPs’ XI team captained by MP Anurag Thakur against the Mumbai Heroes celebrity team, captained by Bollywood superstar Bobby Deol. The team includes Manoj Tiwari, Deepinder Hooda, Shahnawaz Hussain, Mohammed Azharuddin, Gaurav Gogoi, Sunil Shetty, Bobby Deol, Jimmy Shergill, Sonu Sood, Aftab Shivdasani, Mahesh Manjrekar and many others dignitaries, organisers. At the summit, the delegates will share their perspectives on what India needs to do to end TB by 2025.
The key speakers at the conference include JP Nadda, Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare, Venkaiah Naidu, Minister of Housing and Urban Poverty Alleviation and Information and Broadcasting, PK Dhumal, former Chief Minister, Himachal Pradesh, VP Badnore, Governor, Punjab, Mark A White, Mission Director, USAID, India, Jose Luis Castro, Executive Director, The International Union against Tuberculosis and Lung Disease and Henk Bekedam from the WHO.
