Three from abode of god land qualifies for Femina Miss India 2017
A dream of three Himachali beauties including Shikha Sood from Baddi, Santoshi Ranaut (Hamirpur) and Ankita Dogra (Narkanda) has come true when they got selected in Colors Femina Miss India 2017 beauty pageant.
Thrice beauties have been given a golden ticket to the crowning ceremony in Delhi at The Leela Ambience Convention Hotel on April 16.
Talking with Insight Himachal on phone Santoshi Ranaut (Hamirpur) says “I feeling very happy as my dream came true. I want to give all credit to my parents as without their support I wouldn’t reach over here.” My long term goal is to represent my country at the international platforms and make every Indian proud especially women’s, she added. Post graduated in zoology from Hamirpur Degree College, Renault was a perfect in every field is what her friends say. She is a fun loving girl who wants to enjoy every moment of life and to be Miss India was a dream which she saw since childhood. She also participated in Miss Himachal contest 2016.
Nearly 125 contestant’s from different parts of the Himachal have taken part out of which more than 80 completed three rounds — catwalk, introduction, and question-answer.
Ankita Dogra shares with Insight Himachal that “I feel proud to be Himachali and this was a dream which comes true for me”. I will do my best and definitely brought Miss India Himachal Pradesh title in my pocket”. Did Mass Communication from HPU, Ankita Dogra is self-confident a self-framed girl who has also participated in Miss Himachal contest and has reach till final round.
In its 54th edition, Miss India organizers are touring all 30 states of the nation and to crown 30 state representatives.
For the very first time, the pageant will host mentors for each zone who will guide the contestants to merit. To take charge of the proceeding for the North Zone we have none other than the former Miss India Neha Dhulia. The finalists will undergo vigorous training before the grand finale to be held in June.
Moreover, Shikha Sood says “Though I am excited to win a golden ticket but my flies are not till here as I want to make my own identity in this glamorous fashion world”. I will work hard so that my dreams can come true, she added.
The most deserving candidate from each of the eight states, including Miss India Delhi, Miss India Haryana, Miss India Himachal Pradesh, Miss India Jammu and Kashmir, Miss India Madhya Pradesh, Miss India Punjab, Miss India Uttar Pradesh and Miss India Uttarakhand will represent their states at Mumbai in June.
